  • The project focused on creating a family home that maximised northern outlooks from key living spaces, while incorporating a sheltered outdoor entertaining area protected from prevailing westerly winds. The design also included a separate children’s wing and an on-site gym housed within a standalone structure.

  • VDP Construction was involved from the tender stage through to completion, working closely with both the client and architect. Early engagement allowed for strong alignment on project intent, supported by clear communication and a coordinated delivery process.

  • The site presented a number of logistical and technical challenges:

    • Exposed hilltop conditions

    • Difficult site access via a long driveway

    • Significant site cut required to create a suitable building platform

    • Complex building form with multiple angles to maintain views

  • Despite site and design complexities, the project was delivered on time and within budget.

Strong project management and early collaboration ensured challenges were addressed efficiently, resulting in a well-executed home that aligns closely with the original design intent and the client’s requirements.
